Noble Pen
In 2020 he was rated as the player with the second highest conversion rate for penalty kicks in the world over the last 20 years. His 90.5% conversion rate was only beaten by Robert Lewandowski's rate of 91.1%.

Yeah but how many of them were when he was cold off the bench ?

Fuck all. That’s how many.

Re: Noble Pen
Should’ve let Rice take it.

But then it ain’t like I particularly trust Rice to stick it away either.

We need to address the penalty issue asap now that Noble hardly plays.

Re: Noble Pen
We’ve missed our 3 previous penalties before this one.

Yh it was a poor pen but when you have one of the best records in Europe and we’ve missed our last 3 I can see why he came on to take it.

I’m sure there will be lots of toys thrown out the pram on here but it’s one of those things.

Tbf if Vladic had stayed on he takes a cracking penalty.

Obviously thats should've said Vlasic..

Re: Noble Pen
I'm calm now and in hindsight I did say if southgate wanted to take a penalty taker why not take noble as he rarely misses.

We have not had a great record of penalties have we as a Team.

Re: Noble Pen
In a parallel universe Moyes decided to let Rice take the penalty which he subsequently missed. That universe's version of WHO is currently filled with posts demanding to know why Moyes didn't bring Noble on to take the penalty.

Re: Noble Pen
Apart from the tragedy of the dropped point, it's a shame that his last penalty is this one.

Assuming that it is. Perhaps he'll be on the pitch, FULLY WARMED UP, in the Cup game at Man U...

Re: Noble Pen
In this universe, I can't recall many posts wishing Noble had been brought on when other West Ham players missed penalties in the past.

Re: Noble Pen
If o lay he had recents examples of the folly of thinking a player can come on cold and take a pressure penalty with his first kick.

NFL employ players just to kick, that’s all they do, they practice all week, just kicking… you know what, even they practice on the sidelines prior to taking one.

Sentimental stupidity sending Noble on.

For all the praise Moyes rightly gets, he cost us 3 points by not signing a striker and cost us the draw by sending Noble on.

The useless cunt can finally fuck off this season.

I aslo blame Moyes for not sorting out his successor as Antonio and Rice are also shit.

Re: Noble Pen
GPH - almost as if posters realised the difference between penalties in the 3rd, 21st and 66th minute compared to one which was pretty much last kick of the game. And that for two of them we managed to score from the rebound and in the other match we still ended up 3-1 winners.

Oh what the hell, a point dropped, not the end of the world. Hope we beat them on Wednesday, I suggest Noble gives Lingard a good kicking early in that game.

A 50:50 Hero or Villain decision.

Only other choice was Yarmalenko.

Few beers and deep breathes in and settling on We deserved something from it and lots of positives to take. That's all
